
Obituary of Bobby J Thomas Jr
Bobby Joe Thomas was born on 9/13/1944 in Hahira, Georgia to the late Buster Thomas and the late Rosa Lee Thomas. He attended the Georgia school system until he graduated from Westside High School in the 1960’s. After finishing high school, he relocated to New York City where he met his late wife Nancy Thomas.
In the late 1970’s Bobby worked for IBM for a few years as a computer operator and later retired. As one of his hobbies to keep him busy he purchased a hot dog stand in the 1980’s and became known to many as one of the best hot dog stands in Brooklyn. He was well known around the area to many and always supported the neighborhood events in the community. His favorite sports were basketball and baseball so he always supported the local teams who played in the local parks as well as out of state.
Bobby also was best known for his humor and quick-witted, hold no punches honesty amongst his family and friends. He was there to lend a helping hand to those who needed it until God called him home on May 2, 2018 he will truly missed by many.
Bobby leaves behind to mourn and continue his memory his children Sade Rosa Lee Miller and Kisha Miller, Olgi Jenkin, Melody Thomas, Wendy Thomas, Nicole Thomas and Chris Thomas. His youngest daughter’s mother Carol Miller, his beloved brothers and sisters Alice Thomas, Sandra Messam, Flora Baker, Buster Thomas, Tommy Thomas and Calvin Thomas. His Aunt Clara Higdon and friend Goldie Pitts along with a host of extended family and friends.
