At Fairhaven Memorial Chapel, we recognize the loss of a loved one is perhaps the most emotionally challenging journey you’ll ever encounter, and you shouldn’t have to face it alone. 

Here, we grieve along with you, treating everyone who has passed like our own family member. 

A licensed Funeral Director in the State of New York and in the State of Connecticut, owner Jason Sheppard has made it his lifelong goal to humbly serve the families of New York and surrounding areas.

We pride ourselves on going above and beyond and strive to act as a trusted resource for the families we serve during their most difficult times. 

We are available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year, and are always willing to meet without boundaries; we provide in-home visits to those who don’t wish to visit our chapel. 

Service That Goes Above and Beyond

If you’re planning a memorial service or funeral for a loved one and are facing limited financial means, we will work with you to provide a celebration of life befitting of your loved one’s memory but remains within your budget. 

Furthermore, if you have a request for goods and services we do not include as part of our packaging, we’ll go above and beyond to outsource them for you.

A History of Caring

Taking great care to ensure all his clients are served with dignity, compassion and respect, Sheppard attended and completed his studies with a B.S. in Business Management from Eastern Connecticut State University. Jason also attended and completed Briarwood College’s Mortuary Program, graduating Summa Cum Laude. 

He is currently a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, a participant of the 2013 NFDA Meet the Mentors: Under 40 Program held at Harvard, MA., and was a previous member of the Connecticut Funeral Directors Association.
